Health Program

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights,
two million Syrians suffer injuries and permanent disabilities due to the continued conflict in Syria. 45% of victims are women and children.

Also, by 2014, 327 injured Syrians lost their lives to shortage in medical supplies, food and medicine.

Members of health and medical cadres have also been subject to consistent attacks, imprisonment and killing.

The Syrian Network for Human Right documented the detention of over 3,250 doctors and killing of another 327 (166 doctors, 105 paramedics, and 56 pharmacists)

In besieged areas, over 45% of hospitals are out of work;

injuries of many citizens deteriorate and some lost their lives because of difficulties in commuting supplies or getting them out for help.

Therefore, Beyaz Eller sat a number of projects to increase Syrian hospitals ability to reach and medicate the victims.

These include:

  • Supporting Hospitals and Medical Checkpoints

Beyaz Eller supports many hospitals, checkpoints, pharmacies and pharmaceutical businesses in the Syrian inside, particularly those in besieged zones.

For example, we offer financial assistance to Homs Private Hospital, Kenana Hospital in western rural Aleppo, Hayat and Children hospitals in Aleppo, Ahl ul-Athar, Saraqeb and Atareb hospitals.

  • Ambulance Cars and Portable Clinics

Beyaz Eller provided 10 ambulance cars to Aleppo.

Beneficiaries of this project reached 60,000 citizens.

Currently, the institution establishes two portable clinics for Aleppo and Idlib and strives to secure another ten across the Syrian inside.

  • Blood Bank

Beyaz Eller established a blood bank to collect and preserve donated blood.

The amount of collected blood reached 500 packs.

The bank was set to serve hospitals in Al Dana- northern rural Idlib.

However, to increase its reach, it was deported to northern rural Aleppo, near Al Salama crossing in the Martyers’ camp.

The bank distributed 1,125 blood packs on 9 hospitals and checkpoints.

  • Oxygen Stations

Beyaz Eller worked on establishing two oxygen stations to generate and preserve oxygen.

It aimed at serving hospitals in rural Aleppo and the Syrian Coast.

  • Financial Assistances

In this project, Beyaz Eller provides financial assistance, pays for operations of injured and wounded citizens and supports hospitals and pharmacies.

50,000 injured benefited of this projects in Homs.

We sponsored 472 operations, 193 examinations, 66 X-Rays and MR, and three pharmacies received support to provide free medicine.
