Distribution of Winter Clothing to 652 Syrian Children

The war in various Syrian cities has caused many problems and difficulties which have had a negative impact on both individual and societal levels, and these difficulties are increasing with the surrounding conditions. In the winter, the suffering increases and additional needs arise. The extreme cold forces breadwinners to provide winter clothing to help children endure the harshness of winter.

Organizing a relief convoy:

To relief our people in Syria during winter, "Beyaz Eller Organization" worked in cooperation with the "Sheikh Abdullah Al Nouri Charity Society" in order to alleviate the burden on the people through distributing winter clothing for children.

About 652 children benefited from this project. Winter clothing consists of a winter jacket, rain boots, hat, gloves, socks and jeans. These items were purchased  and distributed to children in Idlib countryside to protect them from winter coldness, a kind of comfort and protection against weather fluctuations and low temperature, which expose them to many problems and diseases.

To alleviate the suffering of winter

A father of three, who benefited from this project, tells us:

While a forty-year-old lady says:

“The loss of our livelihood has made it difficult to provide all the basic needs. The money available is barely enough to provide food for the family”. "My eldest son is in third grade, but he has been denied access to school during the winter. As a result of the extreme cold, I do not have the ability to provide the winter clothes, especially because schools are also short of heating materials," he said.

“The project contributed to providing winter clothes for my four children. The high prices, which reached an all-time highs, forced to work in multiple places in order to provide the human life requirements after the death of their father in the circumstances of the war raging in Syria.”

Beyaz Eller’s Support

“Beyaz Eller” does not limit its effort to the provision of  winter clothing, financial and in-kind assistance is given to many individuals and families in Syria after the war has destroyed their economic and social conditions.

We work around the clock to identify the poorest families in order to aid and support them, in line with the eligibility principle that gives priority to the neediest of individuals and households that lost their primary breadwinner.

Meanwhile, we collaborate with many international and Arab associations and institutions in order to provide support to its beneficiaries. We focus on increasing employment opportunities by employing many part-time workers in our projects in order to achieve more benefit for all.
