Fuel Distributions Supported by Al-Nouri Charity

As Syria’s war enters its eighth year, fuels such as benzin and mazut gain greater humanitarian significance for their uses in construction and heating, particularly in winter when cold storms add more challenges to refugees’ life in camps.

Our project

“Beyaz Eller Organization” used funds from “Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Society” to implement a relief project for the afflicted families in Idlib countryside. Our effort aimed at helping the neediest households survive a cold winter. Selection was based on reports and field surveys of the poorest and neediest individuals. Accordingly, 2,625 shares of mazut ( 100 liters each) were successfully distributed.

Battling a cold winter…

During our survey, some cases were brought forward.

One of beneficiaries was a woman whose house is window-less; her glass repeatedly blows out with sounds of ongoing bombradement. Reflecting on her case, she says:

Her sister lives in a semi-destroyed house few-meters away. She soothed her baby as she spoke to us:

“After I lost hope that the glass will sustain for even a month, I started to  cover windows with nylon to ride out rain and cold. When winter peaks, we hardly survive along the unending violence.”

“After a shell was fired on our house, only one room remained for me and my five children. In winter, I endeavor to warm them up by burning nylon and paper pieces.”

For you, we keep going...

Our local teams in Syria work through several projects to alleviate the growing hardship and empower local communities amid stifling war conditions. Following elaborate surveys and examination, we redirect your assistance and donation and deliver them to the neediest households and areas.

Meanwhile, Beyaz Eller works on diversifying winter assistance by delivering fuels, food, water, blankets, and winter clothing to young students, among other items, as means to help people getting over the cold.
