Eyes Surgeries

اثناء العملية العينية

Why to conduct Eyes Surgeries:

In light of the deterioration of the humanitarian and living conditions suffered by our displaced and IDPs from their homes and homelands against their will. And against the feelings of helplessness and oppression that filled the hearts of hundreds of thousands, to confront and fight the hardships and pain of life.

Since those IDPs are the targeted directly by the fierce mechanisms of war of all kinds, and in front of those who become blind or were seriously injured in their eyes, and unfortunately after all of that the tragedy has not ended yet, and the killing, displacement and starvation continue until this moment.

And based on our principles of faith and humanity, and in order to draw a smile or plant a glimmer of hope in life for that child or that woman or those men, for all of them, and after conducting an accurate survey, the importance of conducting such surgeries becomes clear to us  clear for based on its importance and priority for those Patients, and the fact that these surgeries have not been implemented until the present time or even seeking to perform them.

What makes conducting these Eyes Surgeries important and urgent:

It is clear for all of us and we are all aware of the clear and obvious reasons that made us prefer conducting eye operations in northern Syria to another various types of other medical aid, due to its great importance in the patient’s psychological and physical life.

The most prominent reasons are:

  • The fierce war machine that IDPs are exposed to, and the devastating consequences that has inflicted on the lives of those people, and the devastation it has left behind in all sectors of life.
  • Displacement and forced displacement that affects hundreds of thousands.
  • The main reason and most important is the totally material inability of these patients to conduct such surgeries due to the high cost in light of these unspeakable difficult and tragic circumstances. In addition to the lack of the cadres and medical supplies needed to conduct such surgeries, especially during the current war, whose flames will spare no one.

The important role played by white Hands Association:

  • In the first place, providing humanitarian services to help those who are in dire need to conduct these surgeries urgently and are not able to conduct it, especially in light of the tragic conditions they suffer from.
  • Conveying an indirect message to those patients in need that there are those who support them morally and financially and feel their bitter suffering and strive to reduce it as much as possible.
  • Contribute to achieving the third goal of the sustainable development goals, which is to ensure a healthy life, enhance the well-being of all, and reduce the incidence of some fatal public diseases.

A partnership has been concluded with several donors to start this project. Thankfully, the first lists have been covered, and all surgeries have been performed in complete success. However, we seek to expand the circle of partnerships in addition to individual donations by some people, hoping to cover more operations required by those in need of such operations in all regions of northern Syria.

Success Stories

I am Sabri Alhaji (I felt like I am born again)

Sabri Alhaji says that I had suffered cataract in my right eye. I am 80 years old. I was about to be blind because I can’t see with my left eyes at all. I found it difficult to fulfill my needs or even to read the holly Quran and to go to the mosque for payers. Moreover, I was not able to secure the surgery costs because it is very expensive and I am very poor. However, now I am thankful for Allah in the first place and for AL-kuwait state that has donated for this surgery.

Now, I feel like I am born again and I am able to read the holly Quran and to go to the mosque alone.

I would like to tank AL-kuwait state and Abdullah AL-Nori charitable association

I am Ayyoub Bahar (after conducting the surgery, I am able to play and do whatever I like).

Ayyoub says that I had suffered cataract in my left eye. It prevented me from playing with my friends and even from going to school. My father was not able to secure the surgery costs because we are displaced and have no money. But I was very happy when I knew that an association will cover all the expenses of my surgery.

I am thankful for the people of AL-kuwait and for the association that had donated it.

After the surgery, I m able to play and do whatever I like, even my study has also improved.
