3 Schools Supported by ‘Insani’ Charity Team

Since 2011, the educational wheel has nearly stopped in the majority of Syrian schools, and students dropping out of education have become one of the country’s major educational challenges. The war has inflicted partial, and sometimes complete, damage on school buildings and the civil infrastructure, leaving the few remaining schools incapable of meeting basic needs, with overpopulated classes and teachers’ need for greater effort to deliver education using correct means.

Beyaz Eller aims at continued support for education despite the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Syrian inside. Education is pivotal for society building and is one of the organization’s main targets. Thereof, between 2016 and 2017, it maintained the operation of 3 schools in the Syrian inside, with support from ‘Insani’ Charity Team.

The project covered one educational year, and benefited 1,087 students, in addition to 67 members in the teaching staff.

Sponsored Schools

  • Uhud School- western Aleppo countryside.
  • Um Al Shuhada’School- Idlib countryside.
  • Zi Qar School- Idlib countryside.

Services to the sponsored schools:

To ensure safety of the educational environment, we first undertook restoration works of damaged parts of school buildings. The intensive shelling of Idlib has caused serious detriment to Zi Qar School and raised the need for restoring the destroyed building, replacing doors and windows, repairing bathrooms, buying a water containers, and repairing class boards and chairs, to enable the students’ pursuit of education.

Also, the project included provision of all educational services- salaries for the teachers, heating fuel for classrooms during winter, and stationary tools for the students and their teachers alike.
