Distribution of Ice Blocks to Avoid Heat Strokes

Brutal heat waves and shortage in drinking water in northern Syria put thousands at risk of dying by heat strokes. The situation is particularly miser for those living in tin houses, where increased interior temperature threatens inhabitants’ lives. Professionals believe the situation is particularly alarming with the lack of adequate first-aid assistance against fires, heat strokes, and drought.

In response, Beyaz Eller, supported by “Ruhama’u Baynahum” team, has distributed ice blocks in Aleppo countryside and Idlib countryside to alleviate the negative side-effects of heat waves.

The project included provision of 1,000 ice blocks to 3,000 Syrian household, each block was shared by three Syrian families.
