According to the 2015 Strategic Response Plan, the number of Syrians in need for urgent humanitarian assistance has reached 12.6 million, with 7.6 million displaced, of them, 5.6 million are children. The same report estimates the number of besieged Syrians as of 4.8 million, which means that the Syrian humanitarian crisis reached unprecedented levels of urgency. Beyaz Eller is an authorized Syrian institution; it aims at alleviating the suffering of the Syrian population, preserving their dignity and enabling them a sustainable livelihood. Towards this, the institution distributed clothing sets for children and adult Syrians in Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, rural Latakia and eastern Syria, at a cost of $250 per bag. In parallel, the institution offered shelter, winter supplies, housing and charity services to meet the humanitarian needs of refugees.
