Beyaz Eller Launches its Campaign ‘Their Future is in Our Hands’

Education is an elementary aspect of life that helps everyone achieving his ambition. It is a cornerstone in building any society.

In light of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Syria, particularly in areas that had experienced poor economic development even before the war, households suffer from increasing pressures to afford food, much less the educational supplies that help children pursue education.

According to UNICEF reports, one of three schools inside Syria is inappropriate for human use. The most recent statistics from ACU include 217,000 students in need for textbooks, while 2.1 million have dropped off schools due to continued shelling and displacement from their homes. As families flee violence in search for security, children’s dreams fade away.

As means to lessen the financial pressure on households, to please our children, to stop the increasing rate of illiteracy among the rising generation, who will build Syria’s future, and to keep sponsoring 6,500 students in BE operated schools and institutes, Beyaz Eller launches a new back-to-school campaign under the title “Their Future is in our Hands”.

This campaign is launched at the beginning of every year. Beyaz Eller seeks to close the gap between students’ needs and the requirement for completing their education. We pay for salaries, schools’ maintenance, bags, textbooks, and stationary, and provide classrooms’ basic needs.

Beyaz Eller calls upon all groups, individuals, and organizations to back its efforts and support the educational process inside Syria. We hope we can be of some help to those who cannot pursue education.
