Beyaz Eller Supports al-Amal Hospital in Homs

Beyaz Eller Supports al-Amal Hospital in Homs

In Homs, the third largest city in Syria, patients in public hospitals are subject to discriminatory treatment. Hospitals provide medical services to regime supporters only, while patients categorized as opposition are ignored. As local economy quickly deteriorates, medication fees at private hospitals rise far from affordable by many Syrians. Towards this, Beyaz Eller arranged with al-Amal private hospital to provide free-of-charge medical services to Syrian citizens in a way that preserves their human dignity and enables them an easy access to help. Since September 2015, the institution has been financing surgeries, medical disposables, and salaries/wages of the hospital staff. The project comes at a cost of $189,000 and follows Beyaz Eller Health Program that aims at preserving human life, supporting Syria’s medical infrastructure and enabling a healthy livelihood to the afflicted citizens.
