Displacement is one of the most complicated humanitarian crises in the Middle East. Homeless and needy, displaced families of northern and besieged cities suffer hunger, cold weather, and continued threats to their lives.
Beyaz Eller is a leading institution in providing shelter and winter supplies to displaced Syrian families. By mid-2015, it distributed 42,939 blankets, 171,320 sets of winter clothing, 9,632 mattresses, 5,309 pillows, 8,868 isolating mats, 4,065 heaters, 330,583 liters of Mazut, and 3,651 tons of coal. In addition, the institution distributed 12,810 blankets on Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, the Coast, Homs, the two Ghoutas and Dar’a. The project amounted at 60,000 KWD and benefited 29, 745 individuals.
This came under Beyaz Eller’s Shelter and Non-alimentary Aid Program that aims at alleviating the suffering of displaced Syrians, preserving their human dignity and enabling them a sustainable livelihood.
