Displaced and immigrant Syrians are in bad need for food supplies as basic products either disappear or become increasingly unaffordable. Meanwhile, unemployment and diminishing local savings dwindle the hope of future betterment. To break the vicious circle of scarce supply and mounting demand, Beyaz Eller distributed 10,000 food baskets in both Homs and rural Damascus. The project benefited over 50,000 citizens at a cost of $1,000,000. This came in continuation of Beyaz Eller’s effort to alleviate the suffering of afflicted Syrian population, preserve their human dignity, and enable them a sustainable livelihood.
