In coordination with Islamic Relief, Beyaz Eller distributed meat of 5,990 Qurbanis to the afflicted Syrian population at al-Adha feast, 2015. The project targeted four groups of recipients: the poor, orphaned, besieged, and displaced Syrians. Distribution was based on the estimate need of each of the six regions: Homs, Dar’a, Damascus, Hama, the Coast and Idlib. The total number of meat packs was 47,367, 4 kg each, while the number of beneficiaries reached 47,047 families. The project amounted to € 1,186,020, and followed Beyaz Eller Food Security and Livelihood Program that aims at alleviating the suffering of the Syrian population, preserving human dignity and enabling a sustainable livelihood.
