Beyaz Eller Extends Support to Afflicted Families in Different Syrian Cities

Throughout five years of continued clash, humanitarian and economic conditions have severely deteriorated in Syria. According to Valerie Amos, the UN Under-Secretary-General and Emergency Relief Coordinator, over 6 million Syrians are in dire need for urgent alimentary aids. Beyaz Eller was among the earliest responding institutions to such a crisis. In May 2015, we distributed 11,000 food baskets to afflicted families in Aleppo and its countryside, Hama, the Coast, Dar’a, Idlib and its countryside, and refuge areas in Turkey. The project amounted to $330,000 and benefited over 55,000 Syrians.

This came under Beyaz Eller’s Food Security and Livelihood Program that aims at alleviating humanitarian suffering, preserving human dignity and enabling sustainable livelihood.
