In continuation of its efforts to alleviate the humanitarian repercussions of the civil war, Beyaz Eller distributed 10,000 mattresses and pillows on displaced families in Homs, its outskirts, and the two Ghoutas of Damascus. The number of beneficiaries reached 10,000 families. In previous years, the institution successfully distributed 42,939 blankets, 171,320 sets of winter clothing, 9,632 mattresses, 5,309 pillows, 8,868 isolating mats, 4,065 heaters, 330,583 liters of Mazut, and 3,651 tons of coal. This came under Beyaz Eller’s Shelter and Non-alimentary Aid Program that aims at alleviating the suffering of displaced Syrians, preserving their human dignity and enabling them a sustainable livelihood.
