On early 2016, UN humanitarian and development institutions called for collecting $7.73 billion to save 22.5 million Syrians form eminent death. As the war enters its sixth year, reports call for reliving 4.7 million refugee in neighboring countries, 4 million in host societies and 13.5 million of internally displaced and afflicted population. Meanwhile, the Higher Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi argued that local communities and neighbor governments share the greatest responsibility to such an unbelievable humanitarian crisis.
Beyaz Eller is an authorized humanitarian relief institution that aims at alleviating the sufferings of the Syrian population, preserving its dignity and enabling it a sustainable livelihood. In 2016, the institution distributed 24,000 food baskets to afflicted families in Idlib and Aleppo- 2000 baskets/month. The project reached 120,000 individuals and amounted at $873,120.
This came under Beyaz Eller Food Security and Livelihood Program that aims at developing sustainable means to livelihood in the Syrian inside, as well as refugee areas.
