As the conflict between pro-Assad and opposition forces grows more belligerent and extensive, local displacement across northern rural Hama, northern and southern rural Aleppo and northern rural Homs phenomenally increases. By November 2015, the estimate number of displaced families amounted to 29,568. Having lost their homes, savings and winter supplies, displaced families suffer the worst of both humanitarian crisis and cold weather. Children are particularly vulnerable to hunger and disease, as milk and nutrient supplements are direly rare.
Beyaz Eller is a rapidly growing institution in the field of humanitarian relief. Our relief and development projects amounted to over $6 million in years 2014-2015. Recently, we have distributed 16,000 packs of food supplies to 80,000 Syrians. The project costed around $475,345 and came in continuation of our efforts to alleviate the suffering of the afflicted population, preserve human dignity, and enable a sustainable livelihood.
