The majority of intra- and inter-village roads that traverse the village clusters or connect them to nearby villages have been subject to widespread damage. Over 75 percent of the village roads need a regular asphalt pavement to enable an adequate and connected livelihood in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Thereof, \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyazeller.org\/en\/\">Beyaz Eller<\/a>\u2019 opts to undertake an infrastructure project in \u2018Kafr Yahmoul\u2019 to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of 5,300 inhabitants, whose number has increased by the emigration of 2,500 IDPs, in addition to 8,500 inhabitants in nearby villages.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Project Objectives of Pavement Road\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Pavement of roads that serve inhabitants in \u2018Kafr Yahmoul\u2019 and nearby villages, and improving their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyazeller.org\/en\/projectes\/food-security-and-livelihood-fsl\/\">livelihood<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To improve intra- and inter- village roads by provision of an adequate asphalt material.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To secure a certain level of road facilities that serve civilian settlements and their livelihood techniques.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To connect \u2018Kafr Yahmoul\u2019 to nearby villages and improve communication between the area inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To upgrade the roads that have recently gained greater importance being a safer alternative to main roads and beltways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expected Results of Pavement Road<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To surface \u2018Kafr Yahmoul\u2019s main roads and passes that facilitate inter-village movements, as well as the intra-roads that connect it to nearby villages.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To surface around 30,000 meters of high-duty roads that serve the targeted villagers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To ensure traffic safety for relief caravans and secure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the targeted beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To secure new road facilities to 8,500 inhabitants in \u2018Kafr Yahmoul\u2019 and nearby villages.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To improve transportation infrastructure for all citizens moving between Idlib and Turkey through Bab al-Hawa crossing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Mechanisms of Pavement Road<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Calling for sealed price bids from local constructors who are interested in this project.<\/li>\n<li>Selecting the intra- and inter-roads to be surfaced and pitched.<\/li>\n<li>Spreading a layer of gravel, earth, water and Asphalt.<\/li>\n<li>Repairing potholes in pre-paved roads with gravel and Asphalt.<\/li>\n<li>Spraying a Cementous material (MCO).<\/li>\n<li>Coating the roads with pitch of 5-cm thickness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Budget of Pavement Road\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The total cost of this project is $343,000 (Three
