The Syrian crisis is considered the worst humanitarian crises of our time. Half of the country\u2019s pre-war population has been killed or forced to flee their homes. In besieged cities, especially Damascus and Homs, alimentary supplies are direly needed to save two million of starving population. Reports estimate the number of people starved to death in Madaya as of 20 cases, by January 2016. In Doma, eastern Ghouta, innocent civilians are fired with chemical weapons and fire barrels every day. Many children are\u00a0deprived of milk and nutrition supplies that keeps them alive.<\/p>\n
To alleviate part of their suffering, Beyaz Eller undertook a project to distribute 20,000 food baskets in the two Ghouta of Damascus, Ma\u2019damiya, Darya and northern rural Homs. The project amounted to $12,000,000 and reached 100,000 individuals in target areas. This came on a background of our continued efforts to alleviate the suffering of the afflicted population, preserve their human dignity, and enable them a sustainable livelihood.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
