Statistics:<\/b><\/h3>\n

Victim rates continue to rise as the relentless war in Syria enters its seventh year. Offenses on medical facilities brought shocking figures to the forefront of international reports. According to the \u2018Syrian Network for Human Rights\u2019, 112 Medical, Civil Defense, and Red Cross workers have lost their lives to violence, and 243 attacks were launched on their vital facilities in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

The UN reported a rise by 25 percent in the number of attacks on medical facilities between 2016 and 2017, while 8.2 million are prone to explosive hazards, which increase the risk of injury among civilians.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, the WHO announced that since mid-2017, access to medical facilities and health services for civilians has become a growing challenge. \u00a0Over half of the public hospitals and health centres are either closed or functioning partially. Nearly two-thirds of health care workers have fled violence. For the facilities that still function, access to clean water, electricity, medical and surgical supplies is seriously impaired.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Projects:<\/b><\/h3>\n

As the humanitarian situation deteriorates, Beyaz Eller collaborates with several partners to support the deteriorating healthcare sector inside Syria. Our projects include supporting hospitals and medical points with all necessary equipment and tools, providing ambulance cars and mobile clinics to provide urgent treatment, securing financial aid to needy, wounded, and injured population, and establishing a blood bank and two oxygen stations.<\/span><\/p>\n
